Dance and Science Together?

Hello all,

There's a super neat dance performance happening this weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at the Cowles Center for Dance and Performing Arts!

Carl Flink (head choreographer of the modern dance company Black Label Movement and dance teacher for our lovely university's dance program) has collaborated with a few other folks in order to create movement dealing with science. This is a great opportunity to see a new way science can be communicated and presented.

If you've never seen Black Label Movement, I highly recommend you do so. Carl Flink is continually breaking the boundaries in dance by choreographing some of the most thought and heart provoking movement.

here's a link to an article with more information about the show and collaborators.

  2. Thanks Amy. I love Carl and BL--Carl was my undergrad honors advisee back in the Miocene, when he was just a big hockey-playing dude trying to sort out law school, NY dance and grad school in Poli Sci. And did the first two!
